I recently won an iPad and have been enjoying trying new apps and educational entertainment for the kids. I previewed the Mibblio app and selected “On Top of Spaghetti” as our free song. All three of my children, ages 7, 4 and 2 LOVE this app.
Kids control the instruments that play and can add their own accompaniments while reading and singing to a popular story. It’s very interactive with many learning opportunities. My two year old can not get enough of Mibblio. He is very musically oriented and will play for 15-20 minutes on one song. (That’s a long time for a two year old to do anything.)
This app is targeted to children ages 3-8.
A mix of classic songs such as “On Top of Spaghetti” and “The Wheels on the Bus” alongside new, instant classics like “Monkey Jamboree,” are written, illustrated, sung and performed by accomplished artists such as Grammy-nominated mandolinist, Andy Statman and Grammy-winning drummer Marty Beller.
Disclosure: A $25 iTunes gift card was provided to facilitate this review from Child’s Play Communications. However, all opinions expressed here are my own.
