Do your kids love cowboys, adventures and the Wild West? Check out ‘Buffalo Bill’s Cowboy Band’ at the Rose Theater to meet Buffalo Bill and his youngest daughter Irma for an adventure in history. Buffalo Bill, the most famous man on earth, shares his stories about the Wild West in this action packed play. Be ready for tall tales, cowboy poetry, a few western ballads and a lot of boot-scootin’ fun.

Buffalo Bill Cody’s place in Nebraska is well known. North Platte, Nebraska even has many places in his namesake, including Cody Park and Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park. My personal favorite is the Fort Cody Trading Cody Post, full of interesting facts about Buffalo Bill and his famous Wild West traveling shows. To see some amazing photos and stories about Buffalo Bill, check out The Walking Tourists visit to North Platte! After reading their article, I realized how fascinating Buffalo Bill’s life was in the Wild West and I am excited that the Rose Theater will share this important part of history in a live show!

My kids would LOVE it! My two oldest, my 8 year old son and 5 1/2 year old daughter (yes, she insists on the 1/2 being noted) would so enjoy this show. I’m guessing there is not only some good humor, but action as well. We love The Rose Theater and I love that my kiddos have the chance to be exposed to such wonderful things as plays and musicals.
