The Rose Theater started the 2015-2016 theatrical season with a bang! Pete the Cat the Musical is a fantastic show with fun songs, colorful costumes and a cute and educational story line. This is the world premiere of this new show and it’s one that will delight all ages.
Pete the Cat opens on the first day of kindergarten with Pete’s friends Bibi, Olive, Andrew and Sasha. Pete the cat’s shoes change color often and ties into Pete’s attitude during this momentous day. Pete’s sneaker changes initiate an entire set change, including colorful stage lighting, as a fun new song, emotion and color are introduced.
There are eight unique songs with dance that thrilled my 5-year old. Pete the Cat definitely keeps kids entertained and it would be a perfect show to introduce your little ones to live theater.
I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed Pete the Cat The Musical. This is such a fun show, based on the popular children’s book series, that is also educational. And, amazingly kept my son’s attention through the entire hour long show. I would definitely go see this show again!

Dates: Sept 11-27, 2015 – Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 5pm, Sundays at 2pm

Since this is the first show of the season for the Rose Theater, I would highly encourage you to check into a family membership. The Rose Theater is so beautiful. It’s a magical place for kids as well as adults. The play looks so cute. And, we’re a family of cat lovers (dogs too, lol)! Seeing the play would be so much fun for the little one.
I took my 3 year old to this on Saturday and she loved it. The highlight for her though was getting to meet Pete the Cat after the show. She told me “that was so cool momma” as we walked off. She’s been showing everyone her book he autographed. It’s so cute.
