Did you know there are over 400 national parks in the U.S.? The National Park Service turns 100 this year and are offering several days for FREE entrance to any of the 127 National Parks that normally charge a fee.
Here are the National Park Free Days coming in 2016:
April 16 through 24: National Park Week
August 25 through 28: National Park Service Birthday
September 24: National Public Lands Day
November 11: Veterans Day
In Nebraska, there are 5 national parks and the only one that charges a fee is the Scotts Bluff National Monument.
The fee waiver includes entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
