321 Stop – stop running and start living by Lorilee Lippincott, March 2011.

About the book (from Amazon):
“Where did all this stuff come from? My schedule is crazy. I don’t have time for a life. I need to get away!

Ever feel this way? Society is quick to fill our minds and homes with all the latest gadgets, tools, methods, and organizational tricks, but what happens when it all doesn’t fit?

3-2-1 Stop is a how-to memoir of learning to love simple living. Lorilee uses personal stories, as well as tips learned along the way, showing how to create a life that makes space for what is most important. Embracing minimalism, she tackles and teaches how to make the hard decisions of simplify the home as well as the schedule. She understands that a full life, really doesn’t need to be that ‘full’ at all. Beyond that, Lorilee addresses the hidden emotional hoarding that keeps our souls running.

3-2-1 Stop is comical, practical, and refreshing. Take a step back, step off the track for a few minutes and savor the moment.”

My Review:
I loved this book! Lorilee shares her own personal journey towards simple living. She shares her thoughts, actions, struggles and ideas on her journey to find the simple life. She downsizes her house, goes through her ‘stuff’ and really analyzes what’s truly important. Lorilee got rid of the things that weighed her down to enjoy what she really loves in life, family and travel. I found myself wanting to join her on her journey and enjoy the simple life. The only thing I disagreed with was her thoughts on not stockpiling (that’s the crazy coupon lady in me.)

I highly recommend this book, especially if you want to slow down your life and live more in the moment.  It is a great inspiring memoir and debut book for Lorilee.

Oh my lands. If she can help me to slow down, I will fall to my knees in gratitude. My mother and I were discussing the concept of living in the moment, because it always seems like we’re rushing around trying to finish whatever it is that we need to do for the future.
