Dark Chocolate Cherry Bing Bars
A cherry rice krispie bar with a dark chocolate topping!
Bars:
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 10 ounces marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 ½ tablespoons Cherry Jell-o (the powder)
Topping:
- 12-16 ounces dark chocolate can use regular chocolate chips if you don’t have dark chocolate
In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and Cherry Jell-o and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
Add in cereal. Stir until well coated.
Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 13 x 9 inch pan coated with cooking spray.
In microwave, melt chocolate. Start with 1 minute, then stir. Stir every 10-15 seconds until melted.
Spread chocolate over the Rice Krispie treats.
Allow to set for at least an hour.
Cut into squares. Enjoy!
