Ingredients

  • vegetable oil
  • 2 bell peppers, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 onion, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 pounds steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 5 cups cooked rice (2.5 cups uncooked)

Stir Fry Sauce

  • 1/3 cup soy sauce (or liquid aminos)
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar, water and cornstarch. Save for later.
  • Heat a little bit of oil in large pan over medium heat.
  • Add the peppers and onions and cook for 3-4 minutes, until just barely tender. Remove and set aside.
  • Add a little oil, the garlic and ginger to the pan. Add the steak and cook for 5-6 minutes until just barely done.
  • Place the peppers & onions back in. Pour the sauce in.
  • Bring to a simmer. Cook for just a few minutes and then serve over rice!

Notes

I often use sirloin steak when it's on sale!
