Gluten Free Almond Sand Dollar Cookies

- 1 1/2 cups almond flour
- 3 Tbsp melted butter
- 3 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- Pinch of salt optional
- ½ tsp vanilla optional
Preheat oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium-sized bowl combine almond flour, melted butter, and maple syrup. Optional: Add pinch of salt and vanilla.
Form dough into 1” sized balls and place onto baking sheet.
Flatten balls and smooth the edges to make them nice and round.
Add 5 slivered almonds on top of each cookie to create the sand dollar effect.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to baking rack.
