Grease and flour two 9 inch cake pans. (8 inch will also work, but then don’t use all of the cake batter – your pans will overflow!)
Blend cake ingredients 4 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes.
Put chocolate chips into batter and stir around.
Pour batter; 1/2 each into one of the cake pans. Don’t worry if it’s thick – that’s okay!
Make your filling at the same time, in a separate bowl and keep til later.
Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean from center of cake (about 35-40 minutes). Cool.
Put filling between the two layers.
Frost with milk chocolate frosting.
Enjoy with milk or vanilla ice cream!
