With three young kids and a busy house, dates nights are rare for me and my husband of 10 years. When we do get a chance to go out we want it to be fun and relaxing, so Vino Van Gogh was perfect! We went on a double date to a Vino Van Gogh painting session hosted at Moonstruck Meadery with my friend and fellow blogger, Lisa, from Midwest Mammas and Mom on the Side, and our husbands. It was a blast!
I’m not a super crafty person, so when I looked at the finish painting, I didn’t think it would be possible to recreate. What I love about Vino Van Gogh is they take you step-by-step on how to create your painting, so it’s easy and fun to do. They also provide all the materials, so all you need to do is show up. And, since they are hosted at local restaurants, meaderies and breweries, you can sip on drinks or snack on food while painting for a very relaxing experience. Here’s a few steps to the painting I created.
What is amazing is how different every painting turns out, yet they are all somewhat similar. I felt there was too much blue in painting and added yellow stars to lighten it up and make it fun! My husband put his own spin on his and made his guitar look like it was electric. There were even a few people there who chose to create their own painting instead of following the guided instruction. NO way would that work for me, but they created very neat paintings on their own.
Vino Van Gogh has locations all over the country and just started one in Omaha! What’s unique is they travel to the various restaurants throughout the Omaha area, so you can find one close to you. Cost is $38 per person and when you leave you have a brand new painting created by you. They also offer private parties. Make sure to sign up for their email newsletter, because they email special offers or chances to win regularly.

I think I’d have to go with Dolphin Sunrise because it reminds me of Hawaii!
I like the Spring Sunrise painting. This would be a wonderful date night for the hubby and me before baby #4 comes 🙂
I’m excited to try this out.
The red poppies with the yellowish background (not sure what the correct name is) would be perfect in our house. I would need the guidance like you, no venturing off to do something too different. I don’t have an artistic bone in my body.
I love the Dolphin one
My husband and I need a date night too.

I am so looking forward to going to Vino Van Gogh with my daughter, she has done a painting before, and decided to take me for a Mother’s Day gift, but we were too busy then, so it’s a little delayed. It’s nice to experience new things with your daughter!!!!!
