Gorton’s sent me free product coupons to try some of their new products. I picked the Beer Battered Tenders and made them with homemade tartar sauce (sour cream base) and fries. My husband is not a fan of fish, so I picked something that would be palatable to him. I love fish and am always looking for ways to sneak fish into my meal plan and not hear him complain.

The kids loved the beer battered tenders and thought they were chicken. My husband and I both enjoyed them, but felt they were a bit greasy. The batter was delicious and crispy and there was very little ‘fish’ flavor. These are a good item to have in the freezer for days when I don’t feel like cooking a full meal. It took less than 30 minutes for this meal and very minimal prep time. This is definitely a better and cheaper option than picking up fast food on a busy or lazy night.

We also received a Gorton’s-branded ship wheel keychain, which my husband snatched right away. He spend six years in the Navy, several on a ship, and couldn’t wait to add this to his keychain.

Gorton’s has a many recipes on their site here. There are lots of great ideas and you can pin them to Pinterest to save the recipe online. You can also print $1/2 coupons directly from their site.
