My middle son is a kid who knows what he wants. As soon as Halloween was over last year, he asked for a Pokemon Pikachu costume. That’s a very specific request from a 6-year old, but I figured he’d change his mind in a year. For the entire year, he was determined to wear that costume for Halloween and as mom, I knew I had to find it for him. It’s not often my children remain adamant about something that long, so when it happens, I know they are serious!

My son is a Pokemon super fan! We built a shelf in his room for him to keep his awards and special things to display. Guess what he has on half his shelf? His Pokemon memorabilia. With that kind of dedication, I knew I had to find him a Pikachu costume, but was worried it might prove to be a challenge! I was pleasantly surprised to find several Pokemon costumes online at Costume SuperCenter.

The Pikachu costume I found online is warm enough for our cold Nebraska weather and fits well over his regular outfit for added warmth. The hat is super cute and really adds to his Pokemon character. On Halloween, he has asked that we paint his face yellow and that he gets to carry a yellow Halloween bucket!

I love the back of the costume showcasing Pikachu’s stripes and tail (even though it was hard to get my son to stand still long enough to get this picture). My son is so excited to show off his Pikachu Halloween costume and already got to wear it to the school carnival and won 2nd place in their costume contest. It was awesome to see how proud he was to win and I’m so happy I found the perfect Pikachu costume he’s wanted all year!
