Twice a year, Target has a huge toy clearance with hundreds of markdowns throughout the toy aisles. Markdowns start at 15% and over the next few months will continue to be marked down to 30%, 50% and even 70% off while supplies last.

This is the time of year I replenish my gift closet and pick up birthday and Christmas gifts. Many times the stores will have the red clearance signs and stickers on toys still on their shelves. As the sale continues, they will start compiling the clearance toys on end caps or a special aisle in the store and the discounts will get even better.

When I stopped last night at the Council Bluffs Target, I saw markdowns on building sets, games, action figures, craft kids, baby toys and much more! At this local store most of the markdowns were at 30%, but I did see some already at 70% off retail value. There were literally hundreds of toys on clearance. Look at all these beautiful red clearance tags!

Over the last few years, I have saved hundreds of dollars on toys during Target’s toy clearances. This is my favorite haul from 2014 and this was my first big haul in 2011 and I saved 70% on popular toys. If you shop for kids, this is a sale you don’t want to miss!
