Recipe: Chocolate Fudge Brownie Cake

It’s a cake!  It’s a brownie!  It’s actually both…so does that make it a cawnie?  Or maybe a broke?  Okay, neither of those are good names, so let’s just call this a Brownie Cake.  It couldn’t be any easier – it’s essentially the marriage between a cake mix and a brownie mix.  Add in some eggs and oil and bam!  You have a really good dessert.  Add chocolate frosting and some vanilla ice cream and your family and friends will be singing your praises!

Now this isn’t a light and airy type of chocolate cake. But that’s intentional – it’s definitely more dense because of the brownie mix.  It makes for a ‘heartier’ cake.  It’s just great!

Chocolate Fudge Brownie Cake

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box fudge brownie mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 can frosting

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a bundt pan. I swear by Pam with Flour for a good result.
  2. Mix cake mix, brownie mix, eggs, water and oil together.
  3. Pour into bundt pan.
  4. Bake 50 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
  5. Let cake cool, then flip onto a serving plate. Frost.
  6. Serve with ice cream!
