How to Make S’mores in the Air Fryer

Fall is the season for hiking through a colorful landscape, leaves crunching under your feet, a chill in the air, bonfires, and S’MORES! Warm, gooey, sweet and sticky S’MORES! They make you shout for S’MORE because they’re so dang good! So what do you do when you don’t have time to stoke a roaring fire, or it’s wet and rainy, but you find yourself hankering for the crispy gooey goodness of that classic campfire treat? Why…make s’mores in the air fryer of course!

Graham crackers with toasted marshmallows and chocolate on an air fryer tray

Now don’t get me wrong…I think the BEST s’more is the one toasted to perfection over the glowing embers of a smoldering fire while camping in the woods, in the fall, with all of your favorite people. BUT, if you can’t have those perfecting circumstances, an air fryer s’more will totally do in a pinch (or you can also make s’mores in the microwave)!

How to Make Air Fryer S’mores

First, gather your supplies. Graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate! Lay some parchment paper on your air fryer trays for easy clean up. Then place your graham cracker squares on the tray (however many you’re able to fit/wanting to make) and snip the very top off of a large marshmallow, placing it sticky side down on the graham. This will keep your marshmallow in place so the air fryer doesn’t blow it around.

Air fry at 370 for about 4 minutes or until they’ve reached your desired level of toastiness. At this point you can top the other half of the graham crackers with chocolate and then place the marshmallow grahams on top! However, if you’d like to add a little extra gooey-ness to your treat, you can opt to top the marshmallows with the chocolate and air fry for a minute or two at 370. Just watch closely so they don’t melt everywhere! Then squish them all together and enjoy!

Air fryer S’mores Variations

The best thing about this recipe is that it’s soooo adaptable. Use gluten-free grahams to make this a gluten-free treat! Swap out the chocolate bar for another favorite candy bar like Reese’s or Snickers or Almond Joy. Use peanut butter and jelly instead of chocolate. Make them with homemade marshmallows. Be as creative as you like!

How to Enjoy Air Fryer S’mores

My family has all agreed that these will give traditionally made s’mores a run for their money, and make an easy treat to enjoy whenever the craving hits. These are best served fresh from the air fryer and I do not recommend making enough for leftovers as they just won’t be the same. That’s what makes this such an awesome option though. In only 5 minutes you can make MORE, so no need to save some for later anyway!
