Halloween is coming soon and Omaha has so many amazing events to celebrate! Trick-or-treat indoors, create amazing crafts, take hayrack rides, play games and more for free this month.

There are over 45 Halloween events in the Omaha area already listed and we will add more throughout the month. If you know of a free Halloween event, please leave a comment so I can add it to this resource.

Saturday, October 6

• Village Pointe Harvest Fest – 830am -1230pm, face painting, a bounce house, live music, craft vendors, specialty items, a bubble performance, mini pumpkin decorating, and free hayrack rides at the Farmer’s Market.

Sunday, October 7

• Haunt Fair at Nobbies – 12pm-3pm, bounce house, princesses and superheros to take pictures with, live music, and pet friendly.

Wednesday October 10

• Yarn Pumpkins at LaVista Public Library – 6pm-8pm, create holiday decor. Ages 13+.

Saturday, October 13

• Hummel Harvest Pumpkin Days – 10am-2pm, Crafts and fun activities, games, rides to the pumpkin patch (Note – pumpkins are $2.00). RSVP online.
• Mangelsen’s Witch’s Tea – 11am-3pm, games, bounce house, treats and costume contest.
• Spooky Saturday at South Omaha Library – 3pm-4pm, story, craft and snack. Ages 5-11.
• Valor Fall Festival at Calvary Church – 3pm-7pm, games, bounce houses, face painting. Note – some activities require tickets (available for purchase at event.)
• LaVista Fall Festival – 5pm-9pm, concert and movie (Cars 3), s’mores and outdoor games.

Thursday, October 18

• Teen Hangout: Omaha Urban Legends at South Omaha Library – 530pm-730pm, Omaha ghost stories and urban legends. Ages 12 and up.

Friday, October 19

• Movers & Shakers Halloween Dance Party at LaVista Public Library – 1030am, dance and activities. Ages 2+.

Saturday, October 20

• Spooktacular at Florence Branch Omaha Public Library – 6pm-730pm, bounce house, games, snacks and treats.

• Haunted Trails Party at Adams Community Center – 6pm-8pm, food and fun.

• Halloween Boo-tacular at LaVista Public Library – 1030am, games, activities and crafts.
• Jeff Quinn’s Spooky Magic Show at Milton R. Abrahams branch Omaha Public Library – 2pm-245pm, family-friendly magic show.
• Baseballoween at Werner Park – 5pm-8pm, movies, candy, magicians, clowns and activities.
• Trunk or treat at Sarpy Community YMCA – 6pm-730pm, games, activities, trick or treating.

• DIY potion bottles at Florence branch Omaha Public Library – 12pm-2pm, make spooky potion bottles & fill with candy. Teens.
• Haunted Escape Room at Saddlebrook branch Omaha Public Library – 1pm-3pm, escape a locked room in 30 minutes using clues. Ages 12-18. Registration required.
• Haunted House at Millard Public Library – 1pm-5pm, haunted house. All ages.
• Spooky Science at South Omaha Public Library – 2pm-3pm, hands-on experiments with a Halloween twist.

• Healthy Trick-or-Treat Night at Omaha Children’s Museum – 530pm-8pm, free for members, collect treats and toys and play in the museum.
• Monster Mash at Montclair Community Center – 530pm-730pm, games, activities and candy.

Wednesday, October 31

• Pumpkin Crafts at Bellevue Public Library – 9am-5pm, pumpkin crafts for children.
• Toddler Trick or Treat at Sump Memorial Library – 945am-1045am, storytime and trick-or-treating for toddlers.
• Halloween Fun Fest at W. Dale Clark Omaha Public Library – 1030am-12pm, storytime, crafts and treats. Ages 5 and under.
• LaVista’s Halloween Safe Night – 530pm-7pm, trick-or-treating, hot dogs and hayrack rides.
