Last week, I was invited to Ladie’s Night at Midtown Crossing with some fabulous Omaha Bloggers and received a free 5-minute reading with Jess Coleman, a local psychic. Before I tell you what she said, let me tell you about the venue, Saints Pub and Grill. I don’t go out much anymore with three kids, so I was excited to hang out with some fun ladies and enjoy delicious food. Since Ladie’s Night occurred in Frugal February, I didn’t buy anything, but my friends let me try their appetizers and it was all delicious! I could tell the food was homemade, including the potato chips pictured, and there was attention to detail.

About the psychic… I am always intrigued by psychics and nervous about what they might say. I’m not sure I believe 100% in psychic ability, but I definitely believe there is something to it. Jess gave me solid advice to not get frustrated with my writing and think about my goals and make it happen. This is definitely on point, because I do get frustrated at times since I’m self published and it can be very overwhelming. She also mentioned that I should take more ‘me time’. She said as a mom, I tend to think about myself last, but I need to make myself a priority. I think every mom can relate to that.

One thing that I didn’t want to hear is that I need to exercise to stay balanced and maintain a good mood. I know exercise helps me maintain my calm and focuses me, so this was also very true. However, now I have my doctor and a psychic telling me I need to exercise, so I guess I just have to continue to do it every day. Darn! At least I can get more reading done, since that’s what I do when I run on the treadmill. I really wish I could have had a one-hour session with her, because it was very interesting. Whether Jess was reading my body language or truly connecting with my spirit, her advice was solid and well worth taking the time with her.

Thanks for linking to us! But I have to say, I feel for ya. When your doctor and your psychic agree, you’re screwed! Enjoy your reading time! 🙂
