I recently received a Juppy baby walker for review and am impressed. What is Juppy? It’s a portable baby walker that eases strain and stress on a parent’s back while baby learns to walk. It’s affordable, safe and fits easily in a purse for traveling.

I was very excited to try the Juppy with my son. He is 18 months old and has cerebral palsy, so is developmentally delayed. My son is cruising on furniture, but does not have balance to walk without support. During physical therapy, the goal is to get him up on his feet and upright as much as possible to build strength in his legs. The walker we use in therapy is in the thousands of dollars, so it’s not practical for us to purchase one at this time. He does, however, need to practice walking as much as he can each day, so the Juppy is a perfect, low cost tool for these goals.

My son sits comfortably in the Juppy, but did have some issues at first because he was hands free. Personally, I think it scared him to not hold on to something or someone. The Juppy really helps him ‘find’ his balance, because he is hands free, although he still struggles with walking. He learned quickly how to move with the Juppy. The only downside is the Juppy does not provide alot of trunk support, which makes walking more difficult for him, but may be okay for a child with normal development. The fabric does fully cover the trunk, so the baby will not fall. In fact, my son would get tired and start to bounce in the Juppy when he was done with walking.

I am short, so I don’t experience much strain from bending over to hold his hands to walk. However, my husband is 6′ 2″ and he can stand in a comfortable position and walk with his son using the Juppy. It makes a huge difference for my husband.

According to my pediatrician, the average child will cruise for three to four months before walking. That is the perfect time to use a Juppy baby walker and the Juppy would make a great baby shower gift!

My youngest daughter tries to do everything her older brother does,
but I’m always having to walk her around since she can’t walk on
    her own.
    Thanks for the chance!

I love that it can fold up and go anywhere. This looks like it would be way more fun for baby at the park than the stroller!

Our little guy keeps trying to stand up, and keeps face planting. This would be helpful for him!

This would be great to take to the park and other places where baby wants more freedom, but it’s to dirty to let him crawl.

I love that it saves our backs. All of the picking up, twisting, bending over, crouching, etc etc is starting to get to me after three kidlets. 😛

I am really tall so my favorite thing is that I don’t have to bend over for long periods of time. I did so with my daughter and it killed my back.
