I am so excited to announce the 2016 lineup for Loessfest in Council Bluffs. This is a week of FREE family fun starting May 28 that will feature live concerts with the Imagination Movers, Kool and the Gang, family movies in the park and much more!

Here is the lineup of fun planned for Loessfest 2016:
May 28 – Loess Half Marathon and 5K, registration required
May 28 @ 5pm – Riverfront block party with food, bounces house, train ride, face painting and more
May 28 @ 7pm – Imagination Movers live performance
May 28 @ Dusk – Watch ‘Inside Out’ on a big screen in the park
May 29 @ 7pm – Kool and the Gang with special guest Atlanta Rhythm Section
May 30 @ 8pm – Freedom Omaha Symphony Concert followed by fireworks
May 31 @ 6pm – Bike the Bluffs
June 1 @ 9pm – Movie in the Park ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’
June 2 @ 7pm – Sweet 98 DJ Hot Scott and Rockett with 90s music followed by free concert by The 70’s Show featuring 70s music
June 3 to June 5 – Taste of Omaha on the Riverfront
June 5 – Golfest, registration and fee required.
Every Night – Rays Interactive Light Environment featuring a ‘one-of-a-kind’ interactive light display

Things to Note about Loessfest:

• Parking – Parking is available on both sides of the river, including the parking lot just north of Harrah’s Casino and in Harrah’s parking garage. Due to construction, there is no longer parking available or access to the park from the Old Playland Park area off Avenue B, just east of the Great Lawn.
• All the events are free to attend and seating is first come-first served on the Great Lawn
• There will be food and confessions available, but you can bring your own coolers with non-alcoholic drinks or water
• Bring a blanket or lawn chairs
