If you have an apple corer, core your apples first, then slice them into rounds. I highly recommend this apple peeler and corer to make perfect slices with minimal effort. If you don’t have an apple coring tool, simply slice the apples into rounds and then cut out the centers with a knife. A handy tip is that the large metal tips of pastry bags are just the right size to cut out the core and leave you with a perfectly round center.
