Enjoy this May 2024 meal plan with a printable calendar and easy, family-friendly recipes.

There’s a somber feeling around Omaha this weekend. Just a few nights ago, tornadoes ripped through the Omaha Metro area, leveling lots of houses and severely damaging lots others. It’s sobering to realize how quickly life can change. Tornadoes can do such incredible damage in a blink of an eye.

It makes it feel strange for me (someone who was unaffected) to go on with life. We’ve given financial donations to ministries helping victims of the tornadoes, but they have a long road in front of them. But it feels strange to be going about normal business – baseball games, soccer games, practices, and even menu planning.

For us, in May, we have a lot of expenses coming – some appliance repairs & car repairs we’ve put off, plus some family pictures. I’m going to do my best to minimize our grocery expenses because it’s the biggest spending category that I can easily influence on a daily basis. Menu planning is key to keeping that spending intentional. Want to use a Menu Plan, but don’t know where to start? Start here! Want a menu plan that includes shopping list?
